dead line being ignored
Adsl cable was hit by a falling tree branch during a storm knocking out line and internet. Attempted to contact call centre and there was a recorded message saying faults must be logged online. Since we had no internet used a friends Internet to log fault. Nothing was done, received sms saying fault was resolved. Attempted call centre again and held on for 2 hours. Logged 2nd online fault which was ignored. Few days later called call centre and explained to agent that cable was on the ground. She insisted on testing the line despite being told that problem was cable on the ground. Gave a reference number. Again nothing. 2 days later call centre agent tell us that first agent logged the fault incorrectly and she had to re do with two faults, one for cable and one for internet. Gave reference number. Heard nothing for 3 days, called again and was told that reference number was for cables to be removed and not for a repair. She updated system and said a technician would come. Have been waiting for technician for days (highly inconvinient to not be able to go anywhere just in case he arrives and nobody is there). Live cable has been sitting on the ground for over a week . There is no way to contact technician or know when or if he will show up. Call centre staff can do nothing except type on their system and they claim they have no way to escalate either.
