I bought a Samsung J7 on the 15th of December 2016 and today I received a bill for R494 for the device that I bought on Free me 1gb for R269 a month. I'm sick and tired of Telkom and it's *****ed ways. I will escalate the matter to Icasa if I don't receive a revised bill.

This is *****ed how can my bill be R494 for a contract that's supposed to cost R269 and I only had the phone for 15 days and the invoice shows that I didn't purchase any extra data or minutes. The same thing happened with my iPhone 6s contract. I think Telkom is used to robbing people blind, by charging unsuspecting clients for services they didn't use. I demand revised bills for both my phones or I will go to the media before Icasa to expose this *****ed company as to alert some other unsuspecting people who were thinking of taking out cellphone contracts with Telkom.

Good day Bonny,

Please note that on the 1st bill you get billed device fee twice, for the 1st month and the current month.

Your subscription fee was prorated however the device fee is full.

The bill is correct, starting from next month you will pay the normal monthly fee.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Is this clause stipulated in my contract, that I must pay the device amount twice for 1 month? And why is this clause not communicated to clients by your consultants. I'm not going to pay for something that should have been communicated to me but wasn't. Had these clause been communicated to me I would not have taken out the contract with Telkom cause it's ridiculous. There is misrepresentation on Telkom s side and I still say I won't pay for what I don't know , then we can escalate the matter
