Day 5 without internet: Can't report fault because previous 2 week fault still open!

Since Friday 13 Jan my speedtest.net results are all below 0.5Mbps download speed. Two weeks ago, on the 3rd of Jan, I reported a similar fault where my connection was intermitted, and, when I did get a connection to the internet it was unusably slow. However, that problem seemed to have resolved itself for some reason. It does not seem as if a technician was actually involved because the original 3 Jan fault is still open (or the person working on it did not close the fault on the system).

Be that as it may, I have since tried to report my current connection problem twice, but it cannot be registered because of the previous fault still being open. Al they can say is that a technician has not yet had the opportunity to work on the call. Their suggestion was to close the call and then open a new one. I really can't think why that is a good idea. Would that not mean I will just go to the back of the queue again and start over? If my previous call is taking two weeks to resolve, and they follow the actions as they suggested, will I wait another two weeks or more before the fault gets attention?

I am so regretful to have left and excellent SP, Afrihost, for such an infoerior one, beingTelkom. Telkom has great promotions currently on both data and devices, but they fail to provide the basic infrastructure required to use their services.

Good day Noleen

This cannot be the explanation for two reasons:

1. According to my Customer Portal report, I still have more than 50GB add-on data left, which I have purchased last week

2. Even if I am somehow wrong about point 1, there is another reason why I maintain that there is a problem. When I try to stream any content like Netflix or Showmax, I only get buffering. If the problem was only that I have depleted my data, why does the streaming get buffered? Streaming should not be affected by my fix usage data limit (or speed) since I have signed up for the Entertainment bundle.
