DATA PACKAGE ******* BY TELKOM

I got into an agreement via telephone for a data package on the proviso that I port my current number, which the Telkom agent assured me it would be done. I then received a simcard and when I checked it was a new number, not my current number as agreed. I then went on to the Telkom website where I was asked to create an account whereafter I sent my cancellation of the contract based on the above plus that I had a month's grace in which I could cancel the contract. I received no response. I now receive a bill for the package I cancelled. When I query that I am told I cannot cancel because the contract in in force. I am trying to follow it up to no avail as I have never used their package. Telkom deserves a zero star rating, below terrible. I would urge other potential Telkom customers never to trust their agents on enter into telephonic contracts with them.
