The Internet and data service providers of South Africa are all the same. Expensive, Bad after sales service and relatively misleading. Ive had contracts with all our major service providers such as vodacom, mtn and telkom. Telkom Mobile beats all of them in terms of poor and bad service. They offer you deals that will appear cheaper, like no connection fee and high data offers. I recently decided not to upgrade as I have no need for more devices, I had the contract cancelled on time and by due date within 24 months. Not only are they charging you a price if you want to upgrade but they also charge you for cancelling your contract. What makes it worse they tell you it takes 28 working days to make cancellations eefect so you will be billed for a 25th month. To add to your pain they also dont let you know it has been cancelled and I have had deductions for 28 months now and im still on a contract with them as some inadequate staff member never processed the cancellation. We are going into month 29 and im still having a debit order on my account that the bank does not want to remove as they need telkom to advise. What do I do next? Well Ill not worry with Telkom mobile again
