Data Contract rejected because of arrears on fixed Line

<p>I decide to apply for a data contract with telkom mobile. As with any cell phone contract 3 month bank statement salary slips and prrof of residence is provided. For proof of residence I used my telkom fixed line statement. I passed all credit checks and dont have any outstanding amounts with any organistation. Telkom declined my application because my telkom account was two months in arrears. Now this is why I am disappointed with Telkom , I have my fixed line for over 5 years. For as long as I have my fixed line I never went over two months arrears no one ever had to call me for money or disconnect the line for non payament in all that time. They have my 3 months bank statement and can see there is enough money every month they can see all the other debit orders that go through like my vodacom contract they can see my salary coming in. My telkom fixed line is the only account I dont pay via debit order and therefore goes in arrears but as mentioned never longer then two months. I feel its unfortunate and disappointing. Had to use hello peter as it is impossible to get through to the call centre so nevertheless I will wait for a response and if telkom does not want my business I will be forced to look elsewhere and loose out on what seems like a good deal. Oh and the only reason I did not put my fixed line on debit order is because I had instances when the line was first installed where someone else used my line which I then got billed to me, which I queried and the amounts reversed so this made me think twice about having debit orders with telkom.</p>
