Damage to roof when installing fibre cables

<p>Last week, Telkom or its contractors installed new fibre infrastructure along the boundary of my home in Moreletapark. As part of this they also cut several branches off trees in my neighbour’s plot hanging over the fence into my plot. When doing this:</p> <p>1. Telkom or its contractor either stepped on the roof and/or</p> <p>2. Large branches pruned fell on the roof.</p> <p>This has created significant damage to the roof. I was not home at the time and only noticed it now that I am back.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is great to have new fibre installed for the area, but not at the expense of damage to my property. My estimate is that the damage amounts to several thousands of Rand.</p>
