Customerservice non existent

End of November 2016 I entered in a LTE contract. Router and SIM were delivered on the 8/12/16 and the SIM was activated the next day. Despite being shown as covered on Telkom's coveragemap only a very weak signal could ne established in the garden, away from the house. A fault report was logged on the 9/12/16, ref.no. ********** 3. In the following two weeks I received 2 calls from 2 different Telkom employees who had now idea what the problem is and after explaining it again I was assured that the problem will be attended to. On the 18/12/16 a letter was sent to Telkom informing them of the intent to cancel the contract after the contractual 20 days period to fix the problem expired. This ws the case on the 10/01/17.

Consequently I went on the 11/01/17 to the local Telkom outlet to return the router and SIM which they refused to accept. At the same time the cancellation form was given to them and on within 5min a SMS was received with a new ref.no.: 560076 and the message that I would be contacted by phone within 24h. 9 days later nothing has happened and at another visit to the Telkom shop the paperwork was forwarded again.

As far as I'm concerned the contract is cancelled and I expect an appropriate reaction from Telkom.

Does anyone understand my position? There is no more network complaint to pay attention to, I cancelled the contract after Telkom failed to resolve the complaint in time as stipulatedt in the terms and conditions.

You have to pay attention to the cancellation and respond to it in writing. I have reversed the debit order Telkom executed today and will do so with every new one. As I had no service from day one I dont see that I owe Telkom a single cent and will report the case to the National Consumer Comission if Telkom does not accepts the cancellation and does not stop debiting my account for a service not received.
