CUSTOMER/CLIENT ABUSE.

Good Day,

I took a phone contract with Telkom, which also includes another SIM only. this contract took place telephonically, i was called by MONDO. the contract account is ***, Contract Reff is R***. which is R99.00P/M -(the Phone) and R70.00 P/M on (the sim). this payments was going on well and smoothly till the lockdown took over from March 2020. I couldn't pay the April installment due to the curfew because the "NO WORK NO PAY" applies to me. TELKOM then suspended /Blocked the 2 lines. i was not able to make calls nor receive any call through this 2 lines. when i contacted them they confirmed that Yes they did block me because i did not pay the April bills. i told them to open the lines and i will make arrangement to pay but the bills must be look into because i don't agree with the total amount stated by them as: R540.70 R169.00 (The normal instalment) R169.00 (The arears of April) R200.70 (Penalty of skipping April ).

after some weeks I realized that the lines were still not opened which I therefore decided to not pay anything because I cant be paying for a suspended services.

On the 01 June 2020, Telkom then send me a bill as: R709.70 I then phoned Telkom to tell them am not getting any salary due to the lockdown therefore the lines must be restored back working then lets have a payment arrangement that i can be able to afford which they told me to send them the proof or the letter from work stating stating that am affected by the lockdown, which I did so . Still there was no reply from them. i later send another email to MONDO customer care, stating the same problem but that also went unresolved even here on this platform, my review posted to HELLO PETER about the same Telkom and on de same problem has also not been investigated till now.

Till now TELKOM keep sending me bills upon bills on the same account that they block me from using it or having access to!

For Christ sake am not gona pay for a service that am prevented from using yet am billed for. what am I then paying for ? the suspended service or a consuming service that they provide me with?
