*******ION in the Telkom recruitment process.

On the 21st of May 2019, I app**** for a post of Articles Clerk: School of Accounting. I app**** on time, followed all their online processes, and I had all the required qualifications. On the 04th of June 2019, I got a phone call from one of the HR employees, Michael Makoenya, who then told me I had been pre-selected for a telephonic interview which was going to be the following day, the 5th of June 2019, from 15:15 to 15:30. I got an email for the interview request, and to which I confirmed my availability. The following day I waited and the time for the interview came and went, and I had still not received a phone call between those hours. I emailed Michael to ask why I had not received the phone call, I did not get a response, I then made a phone call to Michael, to which he responded that my interview was postponed as his manager had called him to an emergency meeting that day, however he promised that the telephonic interview was going to take place the following day, which would have been the 6th of June 2019. However the interview still did not happen, and my follow up emails to Michael were not responded to. Over the following weeks, I attempted to call Michael, he did not answer my phone calls. Eventually on one of my attempts to call him, he answered and said he was going to give me feedback, he still did not get back to me. I sent an email to his manager, to which she still did not respond. Today, the 28th of June 2019, I find out other people were getting interviewed over the past few weeks where I had been trying to get hold of Michael, and now they had already selected the successful candidates. This is very unfair because I was not given a chance despite having the necessary qualifications.
