Contractual obligations not fulfilled

In March 2019 I upgraded my Telkom 8mbps line to a an Unlimited 10mbps contract which included a Zyxel VMG router. The contract was telephonically and promptly done with the billing prorated without the delivery of the Zyxel VMG router.

I sent the Sales assistant a few emails to advise that I have not received the router; with no response....I then sent an online complaint with no response...I spent hours on the telephone with no action from there side....I went to their Kenilworth branch to collect the router and was offered a D-link which I refused as I have learnt from a technician that the Telkom D-link was problematic...I probed the consultant and learnt that the Zyxel VMG is a more expensive much better router I decided to wait until they sent me a Zyxel. After many more calls and still no response I requested to escalate the matter and was given the email of the escalation dept.

I have now been communicating with the escalation department since April and as much as the gentlemen at Telkom is trying his utmost to get the fulfillment department to comply with the conditions of the contract they are not interested and kept on saying that they have no stock.

Until finally a few Weeks ago they promised to deliver the Zyxel VMG router...I received a box from Telkom some two weeks ago only to discover that the Zyxel VMG router was not in the box but a D-link which I refused from the onset as the contract included a Zyxel VMG router.

This is totally unacceptable and ********* to say the least, the sales department can do a sale within in an hour and then they are not interested in anything after that ...No after sales service...10210 the consultants promise to forward the complaint with no come back. The fulfillment department then promise to deliver the Zyxel router under false pretense and just go ahead and send the D-link which I refused. And now all that they have to say again is that thy have no stock. What kind of business principals do they operate on.
