Contractual dispute

On the 28th of May 2018, I signed up for a Wi-Fi router contract with TELKOM. The deal was valid in May, it was for 20GB anytime+ 20GB night time LTE for R289.

Since it was almost month end, I was told the debit was going to be for June; and for the last 4 days of May they loaded 1GB. I also asked for an increase spend limit, on the 15th of June for 2GB for which I was informed that it was R140.

My issue is that an amount of R826.28 was debited on my account on the 6th of July, and again on the 7th of August an amount of R929 was debited on my account. I did not sign up for any contract of this amount.

I downloaded the Telkom app to be able to keep track of my usage, but the app is giving me problems, saying that I have to link my accounts??? When I get to step 3 of that hideous process, it always says that there ‘is a problem loading my information’, always does that. When I went to the branch in Alberton City, no one could assist me, and the person I spoke to said I must provide my LTE number and account number, which I did not have on me, cause I had assumed that they would be able to check it on the system.

I am completely dissatisfied with Telkom, and would like to know why am I being **********, as this is not what I signed up for. There is only the account number that I see on this application form is (as I do not even have a copy of my contract),and on the section that is supposed to reflect my monthly premium it is blank. I am now starting to think that it was deliberate so that I can be ********** in this manner.
