Good afternoon.
Hi Peter
My name is Sive Nyama.
On the 09 November 2019 on a Saturday, I took a laptop contract on a telkom store in Cape Town.
I realised when i got home that, the device has very little storage space (32gb) for the purpose i was buying the device for.
On 11 November 2019, i went back to the store to say, i am not happy with the device, i would like to cancel my contract.
They told me about the cancellation fee, which i did not have a problem with paying it. They also said i will be contacted withing 3 working days. And i left again with the device with me.
I waited for communication but it was quite for the whole week. I then decided to give them a visit again on a Friday, 15 November 2019. They said there was no case filed, and that i must do the cancellation online by myself but i can always come in for assistance in doing that.
Again i went home. I tried to do the cancellation online but failed. I waited another week full to have time to go to the store...now it was 23 November 2019 Saturday.
I told them that i need that assistant to make the cancellation. To my understanding, they did and this time i got the case no to confirm that the case was lodged. Yesterday, 26 November 2019 Tuesday, i got the sms to say, my case was resolved. I even communicated with telkom through phone call to say, i can now go to the store and return the device.
I did went to the shop, and when i got there, they said they cant take the device because they did not get notified by telkom to confirm they can take the device back.
Today i just received a call from someone who says he is from telkom to say...i need to pay the full amount of the device (the same one that im not happy with and wanting to return to the shop) they want me to buy it off, plus the cancellation fee (which i have no problem paying, from day one) plus usage (fair enough).
