Contract not cancelled

I called in on the 19th November 2024 to cancel a contract. The guy that I spoke to asked me if I will keep the number as prepaid and I andvised him to cancel everything as I will not be using the number. At the end of the call he advised me that everything was cancelled and gave me the reference ***A. I am now finding out he did not cancel the contract however it is a month to month which was not what I wanted because I have an active contract with telkom for over 5years. I need this contract cancelled ASAP as that contract has ended
