Contract issues

I took out a month to month contract as they were running a special and when I want to cancel it am informed that is a 24 Months contract and I have to pay penalty fees. The Telkom mobile representative who assisted me over the counter captured it incorrectly and now is my problem I have to run around to resolve it. Such poor service.
