Contract incorrectly loaded
In April 2023 I upgraded my telkom contract to a Flexi 6 but a Freeme 3 Gig was loaded. I was told by the consultant Neo Kheoane that there is a R900 still left on the old device to be paid and will be broken down in three months. I unfortunately paid for 5 months for the old device.
In May I went to the Telkom store in Melrose to notify them that the debit order was higher than expected. Neo Kheoane advised me that the next invoice will be correct. In June I went back because my invoice was incorrect and the billing was too high. She said the contract was loaded incorrectly as she had selected it in error.
There has been a back and forth from June to October and the Manager Frans Mothebo intervened. The conclusion was that the contract for R479.00 has now been loaded and Neo Kheoane will reimburse me R 916 ( four months subscriptions fees) out of her own pocket and pay it into my bank account or do a cash send.
I reversed the debit order for 1 November because I felt I have been patient for 6 months and Telkom is getting the debit orders but I'm inconvenienced. Frans sent me a proof of payment for R537 into Telkoms account but I received a debit order of R1074 on 15 November and it bounced as there was no money in the account. I have now incured back fees and when I follow up with Frans I was told that he no longer works at Melrose anylonger.
I have notified Frans of the above but no response. I don't know what else to do
Billing and Advertising Query still no response to date
Telkom has increased the value of my package and wants me to pay a higher amount. The contract was done April 2023 to date the query is not resolved. The advert was R479 pm but they are billing me more.
The contract was initially loaded by Neo Kheoan who cares less about the mistake she made. The manager Frans Motheobo tried to intervene but to date it has not been corrected. His efforts are not being acknowledged by the back office billing team. The *********** Zwavhudi Tshivhuyahas been ignoring me and I have escalated to Hophney Leso but it's been month not response
I'm now told that no further correction will be done as the tarrif increased. How can the Tarrif increase without prior communication and agreement. The contract was loaded incorrectly from day one. But this is not my fault that the contract was captured incorrectly in the first place.
Telkom have been communicating with me via phone and email that the correct charges of R479 will be done. At the end of January Zwavhudi Tshivhuya called to say the query has been resolved and there will be a credit of R210 on next months invoice and the billing should be corrected to 479.
Zwavhudi Tshivhuya now sends me an email that the billing won't be changed due to a tarrif increase and there is nothing that can be done. Telkom has cost me hundreds of rands as they debit the wrong amount on the wrong day and it bounces.
I cannot afford a longer contract and a more expensive contract but Telkom refuses to fix their mistake. Telkom has now handed me over to attorneys but I pay the agreed R479 monthly.
The payment I made are not acknowledged neither are the email communications. I have gone back to Melrose branch and spoke to Boitumelo Maponya only to find out that Neo and Frans no longer work at that branch.
I'm so tired of Telkom 12 months with one query
