Contract cancellation

I called by a Telkom call center agent regarding renewal of my contract, the agent explained that there is a 30 days cooling off period. I can cancel within the 30 days. The current contract doesn't suit my need, I tried calling Telkom, going to the Telkom shop at Jabulani Mall. But no one wants to assist me as they say it's not possible. I need to cancel this contract.
