Continued debits at the end of contracts

I upgraded my Telkom contract in November 2016 to an IPhone 7, on the 25th December Telkom debited my first premium of roughly R1600 including activation and I then continued with the 24 months contract. On the 22nd January this year I received a call from a Telkom consultant telling me that my contract had come to an end, but that I would continue being billed on the services I used. She also informed me that the full premium that was deducted in December 2018 was the last one and that January I would be debited roughly R190. She went on to offer me a new cellphone deal for R299 which I took and agreed that I would be debited the 1st time on the 25th Feb including activations. On the 25th January I was yet again debited roughly R900, which was the amount for the IPhone which I started paying for December 2016. I then called Telkom, spoke to a consultant who was entirely confused on the phone and couldn’t even give me any direction until she agreed that I was not supposed to be debited the entire amount in December and January which amounts to R1600. She then told me she would log a complaint to the billing department as this is unacceptable, but since we spoke early February nothing has been done.

I’m entirely unhappy with this and honestly wish I could have my money refunded.
