Confused telkom

I tried to get a Telkom contract on my name but was not successful. So my mother got the contract for me on her name. I was really excited about the phone and all went well until one afternoon the phone kept restarting itself. I took the phone to the nearest Telkom shop and the said the only need the receipt of delivery to send the phone in for repairs or I can go the menlyn for them to repair it there immediately. I went to menlyn and they said they don't have the parts to fix the phone. So after much hassle I got the receipt from my mother of delivery because the phone was purchased online, I took the phone in again and with the receipt just as they had asked. But then they said I could not give in the phone because the contract is on my mothers name, she needs her I'd and she needs to sign. But on both occasions I specifically asked them if she has to do it because its on her name and they said no. I moved from vodacom to Telkom because of all the Hassel's that vodacom gave now Telkom. Seems to be just as confused and full of nonsense!
