Complaint - Telecom

<p>Telecom VS Telkom</p> <p>Complaint:</p> <p> </p> <p>· I received a mail from which I thought was Telkom (Can’t attached PDF but can mail proof)</p> <p>· I phoned to ask what this was about and I was told “it’s to update my telephone directory detail for 2018...”</p> <p>· I told them to keep everything as it was for many years and don’t want extra detail added.</p> <p>· I was told to sign form and send back via email or fax.</p> <p>· I signed form and faxed it on 06/03/2017</p> <p>· I received and invoice of (R7176.00) dated 17 March (attached)</p> <p>· I made a phone call only to discover I am dealing with Telecom and not Telkom</p> <p>· Apparently I spoke to a Telecom lady who never informed me about the difference between Telecom and Telkom; “She only told me it is to upgrade telephone directory”!</p> <p>· I instructed to cancel ASAP but had no option.</p> <p>· Later I was told they will cancel but I had to pay admin fees.</p> <p>· I refused to pay anything to Telecom as I was misled and I feel that misrepresentation took place</p> <p>· Telecom should not be allowed to use a name similar to Telkom and if so, why does it not appear on proper letterhead or info (only on such small print that magnifying glasses are required) while Telkom’s email address appears in colour and bold!!</p> <p>· Several threatened phone calls are made to me on regular basis now.</p> <p>· ********** misrepresentation took place and to threaten me with legal action and black listing is unacceptable!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Your assistance to clear my name is required please and consumers should be made aware of this misrepresentation by Telecom.</p> <p>I also forward this writing to National Consumer Commission</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you very much</p> <p>WG Abraham</p> <p> </p> <p>Box 14832</p> <p>West aces</p> <p>Nelspruit</p> <p>1211</p>
