Complaint from the year 2017 - Data was sold and Telkom refuse to cancel expired Contract

Grant De Beer called from Telkom/CellDirect (Cape Town no: ***) on the 9th of October 2019 advised that my TELKOM contract has expired and sold me the following contracts: 1. Huawei ES577 24 months contract R139.00 (20 GIGS 10 during the day and 10 during the night) 2. Huawei ES577 24 months contract R59.00 (5GIG during the day and 5GIG at night) and an additional R150.00 once off payment for POWERBANK

He advised that the delivery will be within the next 4 – 7 days.

On the 11th, I called *** Cell Direct) at 08h53am and spoke to Yasmine Williams to cancel all the deals agreed to before delivery as I received the better offer. She refused to give the reference number for cancellation.

On the 14 October, today I called the same number again at 8h51am and spoke Karen-Leigh who also confirmed that the contract has been cancelled but they will not give the reference number nor proof of cancellation. She insisted that I should use my identity number as a reference.

I tried my luck again and the call was answered by Zuffa who also said reference number is my ID number. I am scared of this now because my first call was from Telkom, now when I call the number is for Cell direct. On questioning the same, was told that they are contracted to Telkom.

Today on the 23 March 2020, Telkom has sent me an SMS for non-payment with this REF NO: ***

I am extremely fed up with your service Telkom, kindly cancel the contract which was cancelled last year (October) 2019.

I am begging you to cancel the contract and refund me with my hard earned money that was debited from my account from August 2019.

Today I called Telkom Shop at Greenstone and spoke to Nqumisa Ndenani who pushed my call back to 081180 which required Unique Authentication code which I do not have. All Telkom numbers 10210, 081180, 10210 are not answered.

Kindly cancel and refund my account. Goodbye Telkom
