Complaint. I app**** for a telkom R807 10meg adsl package in January.. Now bare in mind the package or costs wasn’t explained to me. My understanding was that I only pay monthly R807 for these services. I received a free lit box, router and WiFi repeater. This I was billed for. I received my first bill this week and my bill was R2900. I couldnt believe it. My bill had adsl fastest and home uncapped adsl which wasn’t explained to me. Naturally I called telkom to sort this out. Siya sorted out my account and he stated that my owing amount is now R486. This amount will come off my account now in Feb. i asked him twice to confirm. Today at 7pm my account was devoted for R2900. This money was supposed to be for my parents 60th in March. I am not happy about this experience and I want my funds to be credited back and my account to be aligned to what I signed up for.
