Communication breakdown with Telkom
During May 2015 I notified Telkom that I will be moving from 49 Du Toitstreet, Porterville to 10 Leech Street, Winburg and requested that my service be relocated to that address. I received a response that ADSL services do not exist in my new location. I then requested that my service be terminated at the end of June 2015. Despite several more requests, telephonic and online - including comleteing a form manually - to terminate, since there were new tenants in the house, I continued to receive invoices for services. Eventually I spoke with someone who promised to investigate. On 24 November 2015 I received the following sms:
Dear Mrs. MIRIAM JACOBA DE VRIES,dispute with ref no. ***7 on your account no. *** has been completed.A credit of R1,596.49 will reflect on your next invoice.Regards, Telkom.
However, since January 2016, I started to receive the following sms's from Telkom:
REMINDER TO PAY TELKOM ACC. P&P ATTORNEYS. FNB MARGATE ***, BRANCH: 250655, REF 40D005088, FAX ***, TEL ***
I also app**** for a telephone at my address in Winburg, but was 'declined after vetting'.
Please have Telkom comunicate with me via e-mail.

On 2nd February this year, I wrote a review about Telkom failing to communicate with me regarding my telephone service which I tried to stop since I left my house in during June 2015. In response to our complaint we received a message from 'Wesley' of the Telkom Social Media Team, apologising for the inconvenience, and promising that the issue (reference number SM195612) will be resolved soon.
Instead of a previous sms message which informed me that we have a credit balance of R1,596.49, we received a new account of R1932.50, which we paid. We were then informed of an extra R213.00 to be paid, which we also paid. Since then I continued to receive threatening sms's to pay the same amounts. I was given a bogus e-mail address where to send the proof of payment to. When I tried to call the number on the sms, I nobody answered the phone.
Why is it so difficult to only have an e-mail adress with someone to communicate to? It has been more than a year that we notified Telkom to suspend our service, and I continue to receive threatening sms's to pay an account which as already been paid and more. I am desperate just to get this issue resolved. All the nice words of Wesley - no other contact details - has come to an unsincere apology and empty promises. Please can someone give me the contact details so that this issue can be resolved onece and for all.
