Cold Service
On saturday we went to telkom to request a name change on the church landline number. Being leaders of the church we had an affidavit with us confirming that this is in the name of the retired priest who has since relocated to the Western Cape and we are unable to reach him. Lebo, the person who attended to us was very cold, did not even look at the documents we had. she just told us that we need approval from the retired priest. we asked her if she wants us to go to the Western Cape to look for the retired priest. Her answer was yes and she further said whatever is in the affidavit needs to be on the letterhead of the church and still the retired priest needs to sign it.
what made us angry though is her attitude, and she kept telling us its the procedure. Lebo also said she confirmed with someone that we cannot be assisted. But we did not see her talking to anyone to confirm this. Other thing is this is not the first time we wanted to change this as priests from Anglican do not stay more than 5 years in one parish. The reason we put priests name is to make it easier for them to report it when the line is faulty.
We do not have a problem with procedures from telkom but they need to be consistent. And Lebo, the least she could have done was to look at the documents we had and also to ask her senior to come explain. Her coldness did not help at all and this is the reason why we are putting this experience on Hellopeter.
Actually the experience we received there do not even deserve a single star.
