Clarity on All network minutes modus operandi

So disappointed with Telkom about how all network minutes are working.I have a contract and if I buy extra minutes with airtime,it used first the one loaded as part of my contract package although the one I bought with airtime will be expiring before the contract one and sometimes it feels like I'm putting in water in a leaking drum cos I end up not using the bought minutes.
