Charging for Service I'm unable to cancel!!!

Here's a story for you: more than three years ago I enquired about an ISDN facility with a view to perhaps making use of such a service. I was informed that I could activate the service whenever I was ready.

Some months later I was receiving sms reminders to pay my bill, but for a telephone number I never recognised. Of course I ignored these and continued to pay my regular telephone bill as usual. Then I noticed I was being charged a fee of R340 or so each month and the unfami**** number was noted on the bill. I immediately went through all the steps of cancelling the 'service' for which I was being billed.

A few days later, our telephone went on the blink (nothing unusual there) so we reported it. The Fault was logged and we received a reference number. After about a week, I enquired on the status of the fault and was told our telephone service had been cancelled!

I explained that there must have been a mistake since I had specifically cancelled the ISDN line and number. Within a few days, by regular line had been restored and I was thankful that everything had been sorted out.

But wait! That's not all. The ISDN service had been reinstated too! Numerous calls and interactions on the Telkom website have not been able to untangle this knot and I continue to be billed for R347.43, each month, as I have been since sometime in 2014! Reviewer Update
There appears to have been some progress: I received a call from 'Head Office' to inform me that they will cancel the service and request authorisation for a refund. When the refund appears as a credit on my bill, I can request that they convert it to a payout. Let's see.
