Charged for cancelled contract
I had a contract with Telkom when I was still staying in Cape Town and I relocated to Durban last year January. I asked for my line to be relocated but only to find out that it was going to cost me a lot of money as there no line to connect to. I then cancelled the contract. I received statements with a credit balance and just ignored them as I knew that I cancelled the line. The beginning of January I received a statement with a debit balance of R172. I then tried to call 10210 and there was no option for cancellation and the line stated that I can send an email with my problem. I did that and it was on no help and the response on the email referred me back to call the same number, 10210. I tried to call the number with the options I was told via email to select. I called 3 times during my working hours as I don't have a landline at home and had to hold for more than 20 minutes with no one answering the call. I now received another statement with an increased amount of R225. I want to know what Telkom wants me to pay for as the line is not active. I have emailed Telkom and informed them that I cancelled line and will not be paying but no one seems to care or help.
