Charged for a device I never used

Account: ********** 68

I received a called about a month ago from one of your sales agents offering me a deal, which was the 10gig + 5gig wi-fi router for R199.00. I accepted the deal and a few days later, I received the device from your courriers.

But a day or two after that I decided I no longer wanted the device and called the number 10213, which is useless because it kept cutting. until I resorted to using your online chat function and was given the number 081128. Someone told me that they will arrange for a courier to contact me by close of business that day. so I waited. and waited. and waited. until two days later I went through the same process only to be told that it was not showing on your system. So I had to go through the process again. Then I was given assurance that I would receive a call from the courier to make arrangements for the device to be collected.

I decided to wait, until I received a shock of my life yesterday in the post. A BILL!! Stating that I owe your company an amount R345.13. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT. R345? FOR WHAT?!? I have been waiting for weeks for the device to be collected and the next thing I get a bill.

Today I called you customer service number 081 180 and spoke to Thulile. I spent about 20mins with her on the phone, answering all sorts of questions only to be told she can't help me and asked me to call the same 10213 number. I refused to call that number because it ALWAYS cuts me off. So she transferred me to the department. I waited another 15 -20 mins and finally got through to Nxobile. Had to explain the problem AGAIN to her (like why aren't your consultant making notes of our calls?). She put me on hold for another 10mins and came back to take down my details i.e. postal and contact number and then told me that she will refer the matter to Courrier IT (something like that). I then asked her to confirm that the contract would be cancelled and she said she couldn't do that because they would first have to collect the device and then I would get confirmation that it has been cancelled.

I asked her for her managers details and she refused, stating that it's personal information (ANOTHER SHOCKER). You have official e-mail addresses for a reason and I'm not looking for make friends with that manager! She then put me on hold while she was getting this "manager".

Then suddenly, the phone cut! after having spent just over an hour on the phone!!!

So this is what I want to see happening;

1. For the device to be collected

2. For the contract to be cancelled

3. For the invoice to be cancelled

This is nothing short of SHOCKING!!!!!

Hi Joshua,
It took you guys a week to tell me you've escalated my query?!? How about you tell me how this mess came about in the first place? What steps, except this "escalation" have you taken on your side and what the status of my complaint actually is.
I need something more solid than "we have escalated your query to our retentions desk..."
Regards,
Thabiso

Hi.
It's been a week since the guys from courier IT collected the device from me and I haven't heard a word regarding the cancellation of my contract.
Can we please draw curtains on this ordeal already?!?
Thanks,
Thabiso

Can you please xonfiem that the contract has been cancelled. Just now, I had to to contact my bank to reverse the debit order of R345 at a cost of R17.50 to me.
All this could have been avoided a long time ago and I can't believe I still have to deal with this issue!!!
