Charged and debited for a free item. Ordered package not installed.

I ordered a January big deal for R807 per month for 24 months. Telkom started delivering the free items which comes with the deal eg, Tv Streaming box. Soon after I receive messages that the billing will start from when the delivery was made. I then went to the store to query this, the store assistance contacted the call centre as she could not even pick up my order on the system. The call centre lady spoken to advised that they can't help, I mus come back when the installation has been done.

The installation has not taken place to this date. According to the technician who came, the streel cables for Telkom are too old to function properly. Telkom needs to replace them first, then the installation can take place. I then received an invoice for R1099 for one of the free items delivered and at the end of Feb (28th), the debit order was processed against my account.

1. It is wrong to bill me as the items are free and part of the package, which I have not even received. 2. I was not even advised of these deliveries as I was told the technician will come and install and my assumption was that the technician will come with everything which is part of the package. I do not need the free items unless the line is installed, let alone billing me for it. 3. I wonder if its even legal to debit me as I never authorised that debit order. The fact that Telkom has my banking details does not give them the right to debit my account whenever they fill like it. 4. I have tried to reverse this debit order but it has been unsuccessful. My guess is that that Telkom is refusing. Its difficult to get hold of anyone on their sales line, you hold for long and waste more of your airtime as I don't have their line for free calls. 5. I sent my query to the facebook page but the responses are very slow.

I really don't need such in my life. I now want to cancel the order completely and return their free items. They are still sealed and packaged.

Hope someone will attend to this
