Cell phone repair injustice at CNA

I had bought a 2019 Telkom Huawei Y5 smartphone from CNA at Forest Hill on the 19th of September and the screen cracked 3 weeks later. On the 6th of December the battery would no longer charge. On the 21st of December I took it to CNA for repairs, they said that the battery would not be repaired unless they fix the screen first, they estimated that the cost of repairs for the screen would be R1 200. It was not communicated that there would be a fee involved if the quotation was refused. Today on the 9th of January I received an SMS from CNA stating that the phone is out of warranty and it's being quoted for R2 085,42 and that the quote rejection fee is R302,63. It concerns me that the amount required to fix the screen is not only more than the amount previously communicated but it is more than the amount the phone was purchased for 3 months ago which was R1 900. I'm seeking assistance in resolving this matter. Please help however you can.
