Cancelling a Telkom landline is nigh impossible

We are moving to Cape Town and I don't need a Telkom landline anymore. On the 31st of October I submitted a cancellation form, as per the process that is stipulated here: http://www.telkom.co.za/today/help/business/faq/how-do-i-cancel-my-contract-or-follow-cancellation-business/

I was then told via email that I will be contacted withing 21 business days (seriously? what kind of business takes that long to CONTACT you to discuss cancellation?). No one has contacted me since and I've already received another invoice for a service that I haven't been using for over a month!

When you try to find a number to call someone from customer service, you don't get through to anyone. It seems the whole customer care system has changed and definitely not for the better.

I eventually went to a Telkom store in Menlyn and filled out another cancellation form and they told me they would escalate the matter, but I haven't had any feedback yet on whether or not it has been cancelled and I refuse to keep paying for a service that should have been cancelled over a month ago.
