Cancelling a 24 month LTE contract

My 24 month contract finished / came to an end on 30 September. I did not want to renew this again. I read the terms and conditions and the fine print states that you need you give Telkom 30 days notice period. I sent an email, along with the cancellation form and my ID to Telkom on 24th August - well within my month's notice period saying that my contract will be expiring and I wish to not extend this. I sent this to the email address: **********

2 weeks later I called to follow up. I was told that I cannot be given any information as it hasn't been 21 working days yet.

I heard nothing. On 4th October, I followed up with a phone call to enquire whether Telkom has received my for. I spoke to a consultant who informed me she could see nothing on the system and asked me to send the email to her, which I did immediately. Whilst on the phone to her, she sent it off as a priority email to the relevant department.

Today I called in, and was advised that the consultant cannot see anything on the system. No cancellation request. She advised that this will take another 21 working days.

I have done EVERYTHING from my side to ensure that the cancellation is done, and that Telkom do not debit me for another month incorrectly. How is it possible to send the cancellation form on 24 August, and today, 25 October, hear that nothing has been done, and this can take another 21 working days?

The level of service is shocking!

I would like someone to contact me regarding this and assure me that this has been cancelled for once and for all.
