Cancelled my ADSL service

On 31st August I sent through the paperwork to cancel my ADSL and data through Telkom and fire Telkom to please release my line into the pool. By 1 still October they still has not actioned my request. Last week I followed up with Telkom, resent my request (which was escalated) and a week still nothing. I called Telkom on Wednesday 12th October to follow up again, the guy I spoke you actioned my request. I made it clear that he must not cancel my phone line but my ADSL and data I was moving over to mweb. He said it would take a few days. This morning I arrive at work to find I have no ADSL, I think great it's been released so mweb can now configure (or whatever it is they do) only to find that Telkom have completely cancelled my ADSL line. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, Chris came on the line. Chris tells me that Mr Dlamini from the call centre had called me to confirm. Really??? I have had no call from telkom since my call to them on Wednesday. So now I sit at work with no ADSL, waiting for Mr Dlamini to call me.

Telkom, this is the exact reason I do not want to use your services. Whether trying to get support on the ADSL line or cancelling services there is always a problem. Perhaps train your staff properly and you wouldn't be losing customers by the dozen.

Reviewer Update

I am still waiting for my ADSL line to be reinstated and released into the holding pool for another service provider. This is now day 5 without ADSL access. A technician called me yesterday saying she was reinstating and was at the exchange sorting it out...and I'm still waiting.
Telkom, you wonder why your clients are moving over to other service providers...jack up your customer service!!!
