Cancelled in July, and am STILL get billed :(
I sent through my Telkom Residential line cancellation on the 24th of July 2017, with a request for my last day of service to be 31 August 2017. This is because I have now moved over to Fibre with Vumatel.
I got a call from the retentions department approximately three weeks later to say that they received my cancellation request, and that they would ensure my last day of service was 31 August.
Then on 01 September I get billed R515 for the month of September. I then phoned the accounts department, and Tholiswa opened a dispute for me, ensuring a refund would be issued. Ref is ********** 8.
I then followed up last week to enquire what was happening, only to be told that Telkom cancelled the ADSL portion of my account, but NOT the voice line portion. And now this morning, I get a debit order of ANOTHER R148.49.
So now Telkom owes me a total of R663.49 in refunds, and my account is STILL not cancelled. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, seeing as I was being proactive for the exact reason to stop this from happening. If your service carries on like this I am afraid I'll have no choice but to leave Telkom Mobile as well once my contract comes up for renewal.
PLEASE, all I want is for you to cancel the line with IMMEDIATE effect (I don't even have devices connected to it for over a month anymore already), and refund the above amount to me as soon as possible.
Please get hold of me ASAP to resolve.
