Cancellations and New Contracts Telkom Mobile

I recently decided to upgrade and consolidate my mobile and data contracts with Telkom. I was advised (against my better judgement) to visit the Telkom store in Hatfield, Pretoria, where they had stock on the phone I wanted. I was referred to a lady by the name of Flair Zongozi, who was tasked with assisting me. I explained to her that I wanted to upgrade my cellphone contract and then cancel my tablet and data contracts, and replace them with a single data contract, as I did not need the others anymore. Flair advised me that this was quite possible. I duly filled out all the cancellation forms, as well as the forms for the upgrade and new data contract. At no time did she advise me about a cancellation period, although I mentioned to her that I did not want to be paying for all the contracts at the same time and that only once the old ones were cancelled did I wish to take up the new ones. She advised me to simply write the date for cancellation on the forms, which I did. The new data contract was implemented and my new phone was sent (which was the wrong phone too, as it happens, but I duly forgave her because the box had already been opened and I decided that it was not worth fighting about.) I did not hear anything about my cancellations, so I decided to go in to the shop to check up on them with Flair. She could not find my forms. I called the cancellations dept who confirmed that no cancellation had been made. I then went back to the store to ask her why she had not processed my cancellations. She said that she had but still could not find my forms, or give me a reference. I asked her to please find out what was going on and gave her my number and asked her to call me as soon as she had the information. She has never called me back. I then called the cancellations dept again, explained the sitation and they said that they would take it up and process the cancellation. I waited for feedback but received none, until a while later I was called and asked if I wanted to proceed with any cancellations - I explained that I had already done so, but was advised that STILL no cancellation had been processed. I was then told that I should go to the branch and fill out a form and that it would take ANOTHER 30 days to process. At this stage I ws livid, knowing that my bill was now going to be for 1 and a half months on the new contracts, PLUS the uncancelled contracts as well. I went back to the branch to see Flair, who STILL had not processed anything. I then insisted that she do it there in front of me, and also asked her to make a copy of my forms with the reference of the forms that I had given her in July already. She then told me she couldnt give me a copy or make a photocopy because "there was no ink in the shop to use". An Email was sent to expidite the cancellations and explain the situation, however I have STILL not had any feedback or had any cancellations done. Imagine my next surprise, when I received my bill, which now not only has a huge amount billed to me on contracts that I cancelled in July already, but my contact details on the adress have changed to someone else's, and my contracts that should have been cancelled have now been charged at a new, much higher rate! (eg my tablet contract that I was paying R299 per month for, is R505 this month!) I do not know where to go next, as I cannot afford this more than double account and I am just not being helped. I am so sorry that I didnt just leave everything as is, as I now have a phone I didn't ask for, four separate contracts that are being overcharged and a bill I cannot afford. The Hatfield branch in Pretoria has been useless - they do not answer my calls, I have to drive out of my way after work to try go to the branch to sort anything out, Flair is absolutely unhelpful and gives incorrect advice and if there are not even forms or ink to print or copy with, I do not wonder that they cannot get even the smallest things right. The reference numbers I have are: ********** 5; Emails were sent on 22 Aug to sort out the issue. After being a very happy Telkom mobile customer for years, I am desperately sorry that I upgraded at all.
