Cancellation request not actioned

On 4 August 2015 (in order to give the required 30 days notice) I emailed Telkom requesting cancellation of two business landlines as the business is relocating. I attached the required documents. I received an automated email response confirming that my mail had been received. As at today's date (7 September) the landlines have not been cancelled. I contacted the call centre and held on for over an hour. Just as I was about to put the phone down my call was answered by a lady called Florence. She confirmed that the lines were still active, but said she would put me through to the business division as she could not assist me. I said I was not prepared to hold on for another hour. She said that this would definitely not happen and my call would be answered within 5 minutes. After 20 minutes the call was dropped from Telkom's side. This is totally unacceptable.
The nos. in question are :
1. ***
2. ***
It seems that one has to hold on for at least an hour when trying to contact the call centre, and then the issue is not resolved. I am absolutely disgusted.
Viv Nightingale
