Cancellation rejected due to non-payment a two months after the request.
So long story short, three months ago I moved to a location with a different service provider and no longer required my Telkom line. About a month before I moved I attempted to cancel my ADSL and telephone line. After being informed that the email account I had to send the cancellation documentation to was full I phoned and attempted to cancel my account. After being assured by the Telkom representative on the phone that my request would be escalated I am still receiving bills three months later. I then phoned again and was told I could not cancel my account because I have an outstanding bill.
So short version, phone to cancel my account, told it will be cancelled, received a bill and now I need to pay them R2700 for an account I have not used in 3 months.
How is that fair. Surely they can see I have not used the account and how can they keep billing me after I have requested the cancellation.
Guess I will need to go into an Telkom office to dispute this as I think it is ridiculous. Was so happy to get rif of them and yet I still have to deal with them. Never again.
