Cancellation of Telkom Account

Dear Telkom

Can someone in your billing dept please let me know what it would take to cancel my account. In the middle of last year I started experiencing terrible quality on my ADSL line. I logged various faults/complaints with your dept, as well as on hellopeter. I was pushed from pillar to post, got the standard "you are too far from the exchange" response. To the point where I had some of your top managment in my house where you confirmed (via your assia system) that there were various faults on my line. I subsequently cancelled my service with you, on 29 July 2016 I sent in my first cancellation request. I got your auto reply to state that I have to give you 21 days notice.

Fair enough, I gave you the notice, however, the next month the debit order went off. I contacted your billing dept to hear what was going on, they informed me they received nothing and that I have to send in the cancellation forms again. So i sent it in again. The following month, the debit order went off again, I phoned your billing dept, same story, they did not receive anything again. I was requested to send in the forms again, I did so. I also asked your billing lady to remove the debit order from my account.

I subsequently disputed the money I owe you as 1) my line was not functioning as it should have for some time and 2) I have given you notice on 3 occasions to cancel my line. In March 2017 I received an invoice from you for over R4000 for services in novmber, december, january, february and march!!!!!!! How is this possible when I have had to cancel my account 3 times!!!!!! What does it take for you to action this simple request? Now I am being threatened with sms's that I will be handed over if I do not pay this outstanding amount. Earlier this month I contacted your billing dept to ask them what was going on, your agent asked me to send in the cancellation form again, i refused. I sent her an email but have subsequently had no further feedback. You are quick to threaten your customers to pay their account but not quick to action customer requests.

Your lack of process your billing dept can not be your customer's problem. What will it take from you perform this simple task?? Please contact me so that we can sort this issue out.
