Cancellation of my mobile number

Telkom decided to cancel my mobile number on the 31st of March 2017 to date....... still waiting for their investigation to finalise…………..

The cancellation was done rudely without informing me, i lodged a case against such action, and I was given a reference number (2 ********** ) for mobile number ********** , and told that the number was cancelled as a result of a ********** airtime I have bought, I have asked them to provide proof, to date nothing, at least take me to the police, since I am a *********…….

I have asked my attorney to write them a letter and guess what nothing has been done (2 months to investigate.......) this company sucks and have a mentality of "goliath", i have called their call centre more than the word.

I am suffering business, emotionally, financially, time wise and otherwise. Calling all the companies that i have to change my contact number.

I hate this company and cannot afford to lose this number, as all my business initiatives were done using the number............

Sadly, I have a telephone number from them 081 ********** which they can contact me and nothing.

The sad reality is that the same message used to this review, is the same response to my initial review written on the 11th of May and the same "scripted" response was used, the previous reference number is AI ********** , and nothing was done to date…..

This company does not care and carries a "You cannot do us anything" attitude. Under normal circumstance, can it take 2 months to investigate a ********** transaction............? It is 2017, the automation of business processes enables the tracking and detecting of deviations from the norm to be picked up instantly and dealt with accordingly.

If it is a company with integrity, they should have already provided my attorney with proof of such allegation or I “the *********” should have already been reported to SAPS and apprehended or at least offered an opportunity to provide proof of purchase from my side …..

I am loosing so much..............

Good day,

I am not sure if your sincerity is genuine, it is now almost full 3 months (4 days to go) since the initial lodging of a dispute and there is no outcome or progress update regarding the matter.

I have complained, called your call centre, submitted a detailed affidavit and involved my attorney, but nothing is coming yielding results.

It is true that Telkom does not care, responding with scripted replies, means nothing, all i need is the reinstatement of my number, in order for my life to continue.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for at least listening to my tirade, whether the matter will be swiftly resolved is another matter. In continuing our telephone conversation regarding the abovementioned subject; herewith is a synopsis of the impact the delay in finalising the matter has had on me as a loyal and guiltless Telkom client;

· I had this mobile number dating back 1999/09, to be precise, it is more than 17 years. Based on the pace in “resolving” this matter, it really denotes the less importance thereof from Telkom’s side,

· I have provided Telkom with all the necessary facts (including supporting documents) to prove that I am not part of the alleged **********, but a victim, it makes it worse to be further victimised by Telkom by suspending my mobile number for this long and not being able to resolve my case expediently,

· If the alleged ********** transaction, was committed by me, or I was part of the person (or syndicate) who committed it why would I continue to provide Telkom with all the facts to prove that I am actually a victim, rather than a perpetrator,

· I am incurring a huge aggregate of financial, emotional, time, and other related adverse effects by the suspension,

· Reason and rational app****, informs me that any ******** would not subject him or herself to so many follow up telephone calls, emails, etc. to have his or her mobile number reinstated, because it means nothing. He or she can get a new sim card and move on, but that is not the case with me. I am not a forensic expect, but one incident and the amount, would allow applying benefit of the doubt, rather than pattern,

· For all intense and purposes, I have been performing business, academic and other related engagements with this mobile number, dating back since the above mentioned date, and

· The only inference I can deduce from the manner I have been treated by Telkom, you don’t care and couldn’t be bothered by my adverse effects, in all honesty, this has had extreme adverse effect on me and other aspects of life.

I have attached some of the communiques (affidavit and letter to your escalation department) I have sent to Telkom and to date nothing has materialised.

I am on the verge of giving up my mobile number despite the fact that I am innocent, but since Telkom has a Goliath and David attitude, being David my prospects I reduced.
