Cancellation of landline service

I have been struggling since beginning of Dec'16 to cancel my landline service. I have no need for it anymore as I have taken up the Telkom Wi-fi contract.

1. I first phoned the call centre who advised me that cancellation can only be done via e-mail. How ironic that you can do just about anything via the phone or on-line but when it comes to cancellations the options are limited and complexed.

2. I then forward my cancellation request to the address ********** as requested.

3. I then received an automated e-mail with a list of instructions on what needs to be done to request a cancellation.

4. I completed all the requested documentation and re-sent my request to the same address

5. Received another automated response to inform me that a service consultant will contact me within 21 business days to verify the information....pathetitic to say the least. Takes you more than a month just to phone your client to verify information and then you probably expect me to give you another 30 days notice?

6. I have sent my request for cancellation on 6 December 2016. No one has ontacted me to date after numerous enquiries to your call centre.

In the meantime I am still being billed for a service that I do not use anymore. As far as I am concerned you can keep my line activated until doomsday, however I am informing you that I will refute any costs for landline services that Telkom charge me after 31 December 2016.
