Cancellation of contract without response

We used to have telephone number ********** 295. We went to the Telkom store to cancel our phone line+internet in July, since we were leaving the country. There we were advised this was only possible to be done via email (already strange, a telkom store should be able to do this).

We then send the email on 21July with all required information. We received the automated reply that someone would contact us within 21 Business days. This was not done.

After 21 Business days (on 21 August) I rep**** that we did not hear anything at all, and when they were going to reply to the email. We still received no contact from them, but the bill kept on coming.

On 13 September I advised we received another bill, but that we will not be paying as the service was already supposed to be cancelled. I also advised them that stopping the service would not urge us to pay as we had left the country already.

To date no response has been received, while the bills keep on coming.

Why is there a total disregard to the procedure you as a company put in place. We followed all the requirements, waited the correct amount of time, but you refuse to handle. Are these e-mails going to your trash directly?

It is absurd that you have not yet rep****. You have no interest in customer service whatsoever. Although I was initially intending to pay for the charges of July and August (if we would have been contacted) due to the late cancellation, I now refuse to do so.

Respond to the emails I have been sending you, clear our outstanding amount and finally cancel the contract that we haven't been using for months. It is ridiculous I have to resort to Hello Peter for something as standard as a contract cancellation.

Please note the contact number is not a ZA one. This is why communication by email is required. Of course this has been advised to you numerous times, just wanted to repeat myself, again.
