Cancellation of contract issues once contract duration is complete
In November I went in store to cancel my contract as the full contract period would have elapsed by the end of November.
I was told that they can't do the cancellation in store. They gave me a form and said I must fill it in and attach my ID and send it to the e-mail address on the form.
I did what I was told and got no response. The next week I went back on store to tell them I had no response and ask how do I know if they received my mail.
I was told unfortunately they can't tell me that but I should keep my mail in case I get billed again, then I have proof and I should be refunded.
Of course what happened was I was billed again and I went in store. They of course said I must call the call centre and the operator was not helpful. I asked him for a reference number or case number and he refused to give me one.
The telkom store workers even asked and he refused. I asked to speak to his supervisor and apparently he/she wasn't in, but I was promised he/she would call within the next half hour.
Of course it's the next day and still I didn't hear anything.
After sending my e-mail to cancel my contract I got 2 calls from telkom to renew my contract. I was so upset and told the operator "why when you want us to renew our contracts, you guys are quick to call? But when we need something from you guys we hear nothing". He simply laughed and rep**** " because we don't want to lose you as a customer Sir".
I have been a customer of tell on for 5 years. I have 4 contracts currently with them. They clearly couldn't care about their customers.
The store staff (kenilworth) really tried helping but there is only so much they can do. They opened a case for me, not sure if there'll be any follow up.
I have my e-mail to prove that I cancelled contract and I should be reimbursed.
