Cancellation of a none existing contract.
On or about April 2018, I migrated my cellphone number to Telkom. I unfortunately realized that my network at home was very poor considering that the network coverage with Vodacom was the best. I obviously could not cancel my cellphone contract. I saw a post on Facebook wherein Telkom was advertising a package that I was interested in. I rep**** on FB & was indeed called by one of their Consultants. I took the contract for a home telephone line installation & Wifi with the aim of boosting my network coverage at home. It is to date 25 June 2018 & no Telkom Technician nor Consultant has ever called me. Instead last week I received a text message reminding me about the debit order payment. I rep**** to the same text message asking as to why I should pay for a product that has not yet been installed at my home yet. If I knew better, I could have just stayed with the devil i know. Today I have spoken to more than three Consultants and I was sent from pillar to post as I want to cancel this none existing contract. Telkom is breaching it’s own contract & I refuse to be taken for ride. My order number is: ********** 70. You do not have to bother calling me, please just cancel this contract or else I will take the matter up with ICASA.
