Cancellation nightmare - No one seems to be able to do their job

I would like to make contact with someone who is actually competent to do their job.

We have cancelled a landline on 2016-01-11 and since then have still received the monthly bills. This line has not been used since then and you are thus only wasting paper, ink and postage to send the account, as we have done our part to cancel the line. It’s not my problem if your employees are not capable to do what they get paid to do.

I have contacted you on Facebook on 25 April 2016 and as per discussion via inbox, I have sent the full query through via email on 28 April 2016. On 4 May 2016 I got a call from Telkom East London (why on earth not Pretoria remains a mystery). That same day someone from Telkom in Gauteng called and told me to ignore what the lady from East London said and just email him my proof of cancellation. He said that he will make sure that the account’s debt is cleared and the line cancelled.

It seems that he too did not do his job, because on 2016-06-02 we received a bill once again.

Here’s my original complaint:

This is to inform you that we have cancelled a landline at the Kolonnade dealer in Pretoria, and the agent that assisted us was Granny. We were told that someone will be in touch if any other information was needed, but this has not happened and we have assumed that everything is in order.

The last payment was made for January, but we still receive monthly statements. This communication is to inform you that we have done our part to cancel the line, and any outstanding balance as from 1 February 2016 is thus incorrect. If you take a look at this account, you will see that no calls have been made since it was cancelled.

Please correct this on your system; we cannot receive statements if we have already cancelled the line.

This needs to be sorted out now!
