Cancellation means.....No cancellation
On 16 July 2018 I submitted my fixed line cancellation forms (the complete set) to Telkom's Cancellation Dept - to the Telkom employee who provided me with the documents in the 1st place. On 29 Oct 2018 - +3 mths later I received an email that my line was cancelled. The supposed 1 month cancellation process was indeed a period of test and trials. To state the obvious - on a scale of 1 to 10 my experience was not on it - way beyond negative. But this is the good part. A nice R566 fixed voice service was added to my 27 Nov 2018 invoice -a month after it was cancelled - for services rendered during the month and/or a fixed line cancellation fee because it was not submitted in time. Do I need to say more. I have contacted numerous people - none has a clue what the problem is or how to resolve it - it must be escalated all say. Today I received a call from Pretoria - from Telkom. Mousa wants to know if I am interested in upgrading my existing fixed line to Telkom's brand new product range. There was silence when I told him it does not exist anymore. Mousa then continued to ask if I am interested in Telkom's new product. I can safely state it is a circus.
