I had been battling to get a line cancelled for some months when this finally to my relief happened I received an account two months after I started the cancellation process, I expected that this was just an admin hiccup and assumed I will be credited, to my absolute horror I received an sms telling me that my account was handed over to attorneys and that I was to pay an exceptionally larger amount on that same day or face the consequence. I paid the following day not wishing to suffer any consequences and have sent an email to their escalation centre
