Can I have internet now? Pretty please?
Telkom disconnected my telephone line and ADSL without my permission, having transferred it to a different persons name, again without permission, even though I live in the house where the telephone was located. This has cost me thousands of rand in cellular data, has cost me business losses, and has nearly led to me having to let go of some of my workers.
As if the above is not evil enough, they told me I have to apply for a new telephone and ADSL line now, that it will cost me R900 to have it installed and take 14-21 working days. Being tired of the whole mess and arguing with *********** and apathetic employees, finding it impossible to get help on social media / Telkom Direct / call center / Hello Peter (no one ever contacts me) or speak to a manager (they simply put you on hold forever or drop the line), and no longer being able to put off work or pay for waiting to speak to yet another agent, I just agreed.
The person told me I would receive an order number. Which I never did. I no longer have a land line from which to wait for 40 mins so can't afford the cellular bill to call you. Can you please confirm that the order has been placed and when installation will take place? It's been another week without internet or telephone. It is hard to word my hatred for your disorganisation (calling it an organisation would do injustice tot he word) at this point. Can I just also point out how obscene it is for you to disconnect my line without permission and then to want to charge me for the privilege? No other company could get away with this behaviour, but we are stuck with Hellkom because you have no competition.
