Call time limit is insufficient when put on hold by SARS
I've just wasted a whole afternoon trying without success to speak to SARS complaints department. When I called I was number seven in the queue, but they were operating extremely slowly. I eventually reached number one, but at exactly 119 minutes and 59 seconds the call cut off before I was able to speak to a consultant. I tried again and was put back into the queue but apparently they closed just after I called, leaving me receiving a message that I was still in the queue for the next two hours. Once more the call was eventually cut off when the time limit was reached. How can I call them if Telkom won't allow me to hold on long enough for my call to be taken?

08 Mar 2022, 11:56 I've just discovered that my two attempts to contact SARS cost me nearly R170 and I never did get to speak to a consultant. As I was number one in the queue at the cut off of the first call, a few extra minutes would have enabled me to get my issue resolved.
