Call avoidance
There is nothing more irritating like speak to an agent that takes out her frustration out on customer’s .
I called the Telkom customer care centre at 1:46pm to put me through to billing department in order for me check how long will it take for my payment to reflect. I spoke to Abongiwe who put me through Lebogang(The one who dropped the call) .
I asked Lebogang if I can provide her with my ID number, she agreed and I gave her my ID number twice which she had to ask for it the third time and that’s when I made a comment saying “ You know why you cant hear me?” she said why? And I said “ Its because the people behind you are busy talking about the weekend gossip” she went off to answer me by saying “why am I listening to those people” and who said she cant hear me?” I advise her that “ am only joking, not being rude or funny and why she is taking offense while am just trying to make small conversation and if she cant handle such calls she can drop” which she did immediately after I said that.
I will not tolerate such nonsense with someone who cant separate work and personal issues at work, if it was a white person she was going to apologies and make sure she completes her call to avoid an escalation. Dropping a call on a customer is call avoidance and I will not take it this as I world like the matter to be handle and kept updated. I will keep on writing to you till I get an respond because this is an expectable and needs all the attention.
Such agent are the one who make Telkom look like it does not have customer service, which some agent come to work to deliver their best to protect the imagine of the company. Imagine I was calling to check when my payment reflect and now the call turned out to be an escalation due to a person forgetting to o her job.
