Cable Department not doing their job

On the 1st of March 2017, the network close to our home was struck by lightning. A cable on the main Telkom network was damaged and needs replacing. Our home, as well as other houses in our street, have been without phone or ADSL service since that day. Telkom is yet to replace those cables. It is now 15 days later. Every time that I have spoken to a representative of Telkom, as well as our ISP MWEB, the response has been as such: "Technicians have been assigned to the problem and it will be resolved as soon as possible", or "Telkom is currently waiting for replacement cable stock to arrive". This is absolutely pathetic service delivery.

After creating this post, I did receive feedback from Telkom, but that's about it. Some technicians came and looked into the problem on Thursday the 16th of March, however, they were unable to solve the problem immediately. I thought that perhaps this time they would actually come back the next day to complete the job. After all, a technician was here on the 4th of March and he had already confirmed that some cables needed replacing. Surely, by now, the cable stock would be in hand with Telkom.
But no, once again they failed to complete the job, with no one returning the next day. It is now Saturday, the 18th of March, 18 days after initially reporting the problem to Telkom. 18 Days of no service that we are still paying for. With Tuesday being a public holiday, I'm sure everyone is also going to take a nice long weekend with nothing being done to fix our cables. I guess it's easy for a big company like Telkom to just ignore the consumer.
I have also received no feedback beyond the initial reply from Telkom to this post. No updates and no resolution of the problem.

Can someone inform me as to why the work was not resumed on Friday? Why is it that everytime this gets escalated, someone comes to the site to look at the problem, but then doesn't ever come back to complete the job?

This will be day 20 of no service.

Day 21. A technician just showed up at our door and wanted to check inside the house again. He obviously doesn't even know what the scope of the problem is. Are you guys literally just sending random technicians to our house at this point?
Someone needs to go change the damaged cable in the mountain behind our house, as the two previous technicians already confirmed. Does none of this information get shared between your technicians? This is really atrocious service...

Day 22. Is anything going to be done today? Or will it be another day of excuses?
